2013 Masters odds – Can Tiger Push through to Win The Masters

Masters Championship – April 11 – 14, Augusta National Golf Club. It is that time of the year again when we start thinking about the green grass of Georgia and the green jackets of the Masters Championship. The betting sites had written Tiger Woods Masters Odds favorite off for the past couple of years because of Tiger’s downward spiral. But the sports betting experts are starting to take notice of the resurging Tiger as he is in the hunt to take over the career major wins lead from Jack Nicklaus.

2013 Masters odds But the 2013 Masters will not be easy for Tiger. Luke Donald, Rory McIlroy and other young golfers will be gunning for the championship and the youth starts to make its statement in the PGA. Let’s take a look at the odds for the top players in the field and see who will come out on top when Sunday is over.

Tiger Woods (Odds: 11/2) Tiger has been playing well and getting stronger. He appears to be completely healed from his injuries and his swing is in fine form. He has already missed a cut in 2013, but don’t let that fool you. He always saves his best golf for the majors.

Rory McIlroy (13/2) McIlroy is going to need to show some consistency before the sportsbook experts are going to make him the odds-on favorite in a major. He played very well last year, but started to fall apart a bit towards the end of the season. He started off this year inconsistent and he needs to bring his game around to compete.

Phil Mickelson (15/1) Lefty will always be the fan favorite, but he consistently chokes in majors. He has a couple of major wins under his belt and he has performed exceedingly well in the Masters over the years with three wins, but his game just seems to fall apart when the spotlight is the brightest.

Luke Donald (20/1) Luke Donald is another young golfer that is making a quick name for himself on the tour. He is a stro player that can hit the ball a mile. He will need a certain level of accuracy to tame Augusta that he may not yet possess. But he is expected to finish in the top five and start his ascent into the upper echelon of professional golf.

Lee Westwood (20/1) Lee Westwood remains the angriest player on the tour and someone who everyone expects great things from. Westwood isn’t getting any younger and he has yet to snag that first major win in his career. While Westwood does seem content to be an internationally successful golfer, he does have his sights set on winning a PGA major before his career is over.

The Bottom Line If Tiger truly is back, then there is little that will be able to stop him. The difference this time around is that Tiger has competition from players like Luke Donald and Rory McIlroy to keep him watching over his shoulder. But expect Tiger to come away with the win in this year’s Masters. Pick: Tiger Woods.
