2013 Stanley Cup Prop Bets – Will Crawford Be the MVP?

As we noted over the weekend, Raanta is coming off an impressive season in the SM-liiga. Minnesota, Winnipeg and Edmonton were all pursuing the 24-year old as well, and a case could be made that each of them needs a netminder like Raanta more than Chicago does right now. Stanley Cup Prop Bets Corey Crawford is just 28 years old, still has another year on his deal and is currently backstopping the team towards the Stanley Cup. If he keeps playing like this and signs another deal with the club, it’s hard to envision Raanta getting time as a starter in the Windy City anytime soon.

2013 Stanley Cup Prop BetsMeanwhile, the Wild may need a goalie in a hurry. They fully intend to re-sign Niklas Backstrom, but he becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer if a deal can’t be reached fairly soon. The Jets are coming off a season in which they allowed 2.94 goals per game — tied for No. 24 in the NHL — so they probably wouldn’t have minded landing Raanta to at least push Ondrej Pavelec. And, while Devan Dubnyk has made strides for the Oilers, they by no means have their goaltending situation completely solidified yet either — especially with Dubnyk in line to become a UFA next summer and Nikolai Khabibulin set to turn 41 years old during the 2013-14 campaign. Bet on Stanley Cup.
