Denver Broncos: Can they win the Super Bowl this year?

The Denver Broncos endured a disappointing end to the 2014-15 season as they were defeated 24-13 by the Indianapolis Colts in the Divisional Round playoff match. Not for the first time in his career, Peyton Manning struggled in a postseason game as he failed to inspire the Broncos offense to produce a phenomenal comeback.

Broncos supporters are excited at their prospects this season, andbetfair are offering 12/1 on Denver to clinch their first Super Bowl title since 1999. If the defence can make plays like this, it will certainly help their chances of featuring in February’s showpiece event.

Denver have an exceptionally strong roster that is capable of beating the NFL’s best franchises. In recent years, they have built a great squad and will be quietly confident of their Super Bowl chances this season. Peyton Manning remains one of the best quarterbacks of all-time and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see the 39-year-old pull out all the stops to succeed in what could be his last season in the sport. Last season, the veteran passed Brett Favre’s record for the most touchdown passes in a career, which previously stood at 508.

With the likes of Demaryius Thomas and Owen Daniels, the veteran quarterback has multiple options in the passing game. Meanwhile, CJ Anderson performed admirably last season and will provide a much-needed running game for the Broncos. Their offense has been exceptional throughout the last two seasons and, although they have lost key tight-end Julius Thomas to Jacksonville Jaguars, they still possess one of the most talented attacking units in the NFL. Denver supporters appear to be confident that their team will go all the way in 2015.

denver-hudddleDefensively, the Broncos remain suspect and their secondary is exploited on a regular basis but their new defensive coordinator plans onbringing an aggressive style to Denver this season. Furthermore, their powerful offense should be good enough to see them retain their AFC West divisional title. They will find it tricky to compete with the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots for the top two seeds in the AFC but, if Manning can get over his postseason demons, the Broncos will stand a great chance of lifting the Vince Lombardi trophy next February.
