MLB Baseball Picks For Thursday, June 19

The Major League Baseball Picks season has shown that a few teams which were struggling over the past few years can handle bouncing back, and it in addition has shown that teams which were successful recently aren’t guaranteed success right now.

MLB Baseball Picks For Thursday, June 19Game 1:Los Angeles Angels @ Cleveland Indians – Thursday, June 19

The Los Angeles Angels have experienced a better season through two and a half months than they did in each of the past two seasons. The Angels have ceded the spotlight and the playoff appearances in the American League West to the Oakland Athletics and the Texas Rangers in recent years. They’re now showing signs to be a new player once again in the American League. If the summer season ended today, they’d maintain the one-game wild card playoff. The Angels are getting better hitting from their stars, particularly Albert Pujols. The bullpen remains an issue, but with the batting order being a more reliable source of big hits compared to 2013 and 2012, the Angels are showing a type of resilience that had been missing from the clubhouse. This team is more unified, and it looks like an organization that is going to be a contender entirely through the summer season, into the ultimate week of September. Take the Angels over a Cleveland team that has been better recently, but isn’t getting the degree of starting pitching it needs to win the American League Central.

MLB Betting Pick: Los Angeles Angels

Game 2: Cincinnati Reds @ Pittsburgh Pirates – Thursday, June 19

The pitching matchup in this game is one that doesn’t promise certainties. The Reds are going with Homer Bailey, who has pitched no-hitters in his career but is simply as effective at bombing every time he takes the mound. Bailey is really a very inconsistent pitcher with great talent but a habit of going right on through severe swings and variations in his amount of play. This maddeningly uneven part of Bailey’s identity is the reason why he features a 4.68 ERA and is underachieving as of this stage of the standard season.

Bailey’s opponent is Jeff Locke, who was simply part of Pittsburgh’s playoff season a year ago and performed at a quite high level from begin to finish. The Pirates haven’t been of the same quality in 2010, and that’s partly because Locke hasn’t been of the same quality this year. Yet, his ERA is 3.98, several tenths of a work better compared to mercurial Bailey. Take Pittsburgh here.

MLB Betting Pick: Pittsburgh

Game 3: Toronto Blue Jays @ New York Yankees – Thursday, June 19

TheBlue Jays still lead the American League East. Why have the New York Yankees not caught them? The clear answer is simple. The Yankees are nine games over .500 when Masahiro Tanaka starts for them, and they’re seven games under .500 when other starters select them. In this game, David Phelps is the Yankees’starter. Can you actually want to take New York here? Probably not.

MLB Betting Pick: Toronto
