NBA Basketball Picks Thursday – Clippers Look To Extend Hot Streak Versus Struggling Warriors Team

With all of the attention on the Super Bowl odds for this weekend’s Super Bowl XLVIII, it’s easy to miss the NBA Basketball Picks hot streak the Los Angeles Clippers are on right now. The Clippers have won three-straight and eight of its last 10 to climb to fourth in the Western Conference, just 4.5 games back of the Oklahoma City Thunder for first place. The Clippers will look to extend that run this weekend when they visit the Golden State Warriors in a potential first-round playoff preview. Blake Griffin and company has put together a winning record on the road, but they know how tough it is to get an online sports betting win at the Oracle.

NBA Basketball Picks Los Angeles Clippers @ Golden State Warriors
Thursday January 30, 2014 – 10:30 PM ET
Oracle Arena, Oakland, California
NBA Sports Betting Line: Golden State – 2.5

The Warriors haven’t been nearly as hot of late, dropping six of their last 10 to fall to seventh in the Western Conference. Golden State can’t afford to fall any further in the standings, but it won’t be easy to keep on battling now that teams are no longer underestimating what they are capable of doing.

NBA Basketball Picks Preview: Los Angeles Clippers -Doc Rivers has really has his work cut out for him in year one with the Clippers, but his team now ranks 14th in the NBA in points per game allowed, and you can see the difference in their play every night. Griffin, Chris Paul, and company have the potential to put up All-Star numbers every night, but it’s the hard work that they have put in at the other end of the floor that has been so impressive. Los Angeles still ranks third in the NBA with over 106 points per game, but they are playing a more complete brand of basketball right now, and that has been the key to their success.

NBA Basketball Picks Preview: Golden State Warriors -The Warriors have actually slipped to 11th in the NBA with only 103.6 points per game on average, and that is even with Stephen Curry averaging just over 24 points per game. Curry can’t do it alone, and that means other guys stepping up at the offensive end of the floor beyond he and Klay Thompson. Golden State might not like having Harrison Barnes as the fourth option in the offense behind Curry, Thompson, and David Lee, but that is the case right now. The Warriors’ depth could definitely use a boost, but right now this group has to come together and find a way to break out of this funk.

NBA Basketball Picks Preview: Outlook & Pick -Golden State is a tough online betting team in its own building, but it has struggled of late, and needs to find a way to rally and turn it around. They could be vulnerable heading in to this game though, especially considering how hot the Clippers are. Look for the Warriors to keep this game close until the end, with Griffin and company stealing another important road win. NBA Basketball Picks: Los Angeles Clippers + 5.5.
