NBA Playoff Picks Wednesday – Heat Looking to Make it to Eastern Conference Finals

The Miami Heat stole two games from the Chicago Bulls on the road to build a three-games-to-one series lead in the Eastern Conference 2nd Round. Now they will have a chance to put the Bulls away and advance to the East Finals with a home win over Chicago on Wednesday night. The Heat has been to the NBA Finals in three-straight years now, but they aren’t likely to face the Oklahoma City Thunder again this time around. The Thunder dropped consecutive online sports betting games at the Memphis Grizzlies to fall down three-games-to-one in the West, and will be fighting to stay alive on Wednesday night.

Miami HeatEastern Conference 2nd Round
Chicago Bulls @ Miami Heat
Wednesday, 7:00 PM ET – Game 5
Heat lead 3-1

It looked as though Miami could be in some trouble when they lost game one against the Bulls. However, the Heat have bounced back to win three-straight games and can clinch the series with another win on Wednesday night, which seems likely considering the way we have seen this online sportsbook series turn. Lebron James scored 27 points, adding seven rebounds, and eight assists in the game four win, but even more impressive was his play at the defensive end of the floor as he helped Miami hold Chicago to historic lows. The Bulls scored just 42 points through three quarters in game four, including a franchise playoff-low nine points in the third quarter. Chicago hit just 25.7-percent of their shots from the field, including an awful 0-for-12 performance from Nate Robinson. The Bulls will have a hard time bouncing back now down three-games-to-one, especially with the series now shifting to South Beach.

NBA Betting Pick: Miami Heat – 3.5

Western Conference 2nd Round
Memphis Grizzlies @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Wednesday, 9:30 PM ET – Game 5
Grizzlies lead 3-1

The Thunder threw everything they had at Memphis in game four and came up short in a 103-97 overtime loss. Oklahoma City dominated the first quarter to build up an 11-point lead, but the Grizzlies shook off their sow start and continued to chip away at the deficit until they were tied headed to overtime. Marc Gasol had 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Mike Conley put up a team-high 24 points as Memphis continued to exploit the point guard match up at both ends of the floor with no Russell Westbrook available for the Thunder. Kevin Durant did his best with 27 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, but he hit just 10-of-27 shots while Serge Ibaka continued to struggle down low with just 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting. Oklahoma City doesn’t have the size to keep the Grizzlies’ offense in check down low, and their lack of a key scoring threat in Westbrook has left them exposed in this sports betting series. However, the Thunder did game one and nearly took game two at home, so look for them to rally and give their fans one last win to cheer about before heading back to Memphis where the Grizzlies are undefeated this postseason.

NBA Betting Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder – 3.5
