NFL Draft Update – The Browns looking to Get some Pass rush Help

NFL Draft Update Cleveland made a splash by signing former Baltimore Raven linebacker Paul Kruger at the onset of free agency. The Browns aren’t finished looking for pass rushing help. A player familiar with defensive coordinator Ray Horton is set to visit the Berea facility later this week.

NFL Draft UpdateGroves spent last season as a part-time starter for Arizona at outside linebacker under Horton’s direction. Groves had his best season as a professional during his one season in the desert. Groves produced four sacks which nearly doubled his career production from his first three seasons.

“I would love a Sheard trade and have Harrison and Kruger on the outsides. That would be great!” “Quentin Groves will visit the Browns. Pass-rush help,” Ian Rappaport of NFL Network tweeted.

Kruger and Jabaal Sheard are expected to start as bookend outside linebackers for Cleveland in the team’s new 3-4 scheme. A potential signing of Groves becomes an interesting scenario. The team reportedly has legitimate interest in recently released Pittsburgh linebacker James Harrison as well.

The continued interest in adding more outside linebackers for Horton’s system may point towards Sheard being available via trade. Sheard has never played linebacker, and it isn’t a given he will make a seamless transition to the new defense. Cleveland may not be sold on his ability to do so.
