NFL Prop Bets Thursday Night – Saints vs Falcons Player to score the 1st Touchdown

When Jimmy Graham got back into action after resting his injured foot after a bye week in week 7,, he was only on the field for 20 of 73 snaps and ran just 14 routes. Three of those were in the red zone, though, and he caught two of them for touchdowns. In Week 9, his on-field action was increased significantly, as he was on the field for 60 of 78 plays. He ran 39 routes and pulled in nine of 12 targets for 116 yards and two scores. NFL Prop Bets Listed bottom of page.

NFL Prop Bets Thursday Night It seemed that he was back to full usage, despite the torn plantar fascia in his foot. However, he was only on the field for 33 of 84 plays Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys and finished with just five catches on five targets for 59 yards and zero scores. Even more puzzling is that he ran just a single red-zone route but wasn’t targeted.

Does that mean he had a setback or that the elbow injury he sustained in Week 9 led to a lessened workload?

“[B]oth Graham and coach Sean Payton indicated afterward that it was more of a pre-determined game plan to limit his snaps, rather than any indication of an injury setback,” noted ESPN Saints reporter Mike Triplett.

Regardless of what Payton and Graham said, it’s hard for fantasy owners to not be at least a little concerned about Graham’s limited usage in Week 10, especially since the Saints have tough defensive matchups coming with the San Francisco 49ers (Week 11), Seattle Seahawks (Week 13) and the Carolina Panthers (Weeks 14 and 16). On the other hand, perhaps the Saints felt confident that they could handle the Cowboys in Week 10 and opted to get Graham stronger for the tougher battles coming down the stretch.

In any case, so long as Graham is active, fantasy owners will have no choice but to put him in their lineups and hope he makes the most of the targets that come his way.
