UFC Picks on Fuel TV 9 – Gustafsson vs.Mousasi In the Main Event

Alexander Gustafsson and Gegard Mousasi have had great successful online betting results in few years. Now, the two rising stars are set to clash in the main event of the UFC on Fuel TV: Gustafsson vs. Mousasi event in Stockholm, Sweden in early April. Gustafsson has pieced together an impressive five-fight win streak that will have fans in his native country excited to see him perform in the main event, but Mousasi has been just as hot with a 5-0-1 record in his past six appearances, and will be looking to spoil the party. This will be the second-ever UFC Picks event to take place in Sweden, and it won’t get any more exciting than the main event.

UFC on Fuel TV 9 PicksWhile Mousasi has posted the more impressive finishes, Gustafsson has gotten the job done against the bigger names in recent months, including a pair of wins over Thiago Silva and former champion Mauricio Rua heading in to this tilt. Both of these fighters rank in the top-10 in the division, but only one can continue his ascent.

UFC Betting Preview: Alexander Gustafsson A native of Arboga, Sweden, Gustafsson’s steady climb up the light heavyweight ranks has been well documented over the years, and at 26 he may finally be ready to compete for a title shot. Trained in BJJ, Gustafsson’s 6’5’’ frame and incredible reach have been a major advantage against sports betting opponents that aren’t able to get close enough to him without the risk of getting knocked out. Gustafsson will try and do exactly that against Mousasi, as he looks to dissect another opponent without taking too many risks.

UFC Betting Preview: Gegard Mousasi Mousasi has been a much more dominant fighter in terms of his ability to finish fights, as evidenced by the 18 knockout and 11 submission wins he has registered to this point in his career. A former middleweight champion in the DREAM promotion, Mousasi has already had success against some of the lesser opponents in the UFC division, and will now look to prove that he can compete with the best. At just 27-years old, Mousasi is also just entering his prime and has incredible potential.

UFC Picks Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick Neither fighter has the type of experience that would qualify them as a legitimate championship contender, and while Gustafsson has the better resume in terms of who he has beaten, Mousasi has been the more impressive fighter in his bouts. With knockout power and the ability to make Gustafsson tap at a moments notice, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Mousasi got that one punch or submission lock and stole a victory from the hometown favorite. UFC Betting Pick: Gegard Mousasi.
